My True Calling™

Can you stand and say you are in your True Calling?

What is My True Calling™? You may have asked yourself this question and you certainly have friends and family members who have as well.  It is one of those “life questions” that we try hard to ignore, however it constantly reminds you in so many ways, that it is there searching for recognition and fulfillment.

The reminders come in all shapes and sizes.  There are the nice reminders that pop into your mind as you watch a movie, or listen to your favorite song… gently nudging you to take action on the essence of the movie or music as it relates to your true calling.

And then there are the not so nice reminders that have grown steadily irritable from sending you nice reminder after nice reminder with no response.  No longer gentle, no longer nice, your internal voice now needs to be heard and all niceties aside…you are now in conflict.

It may be subtle or raging inside you.  Regardless, the voice is there and the intensity will only increase as your true gifts try their best to be expressed.

The release may arrive in the form of your first migraine which the doctor diagnoses as just stress and cautions you away from chocolate and red wine; or the reminders hop on the shingles wagon and after another visit to your doctor you are given another symptoms oriented solution while the cause just continues to boil.

Now that you are well medicated the revolution can really begin.  With growing irritation and frustration your internal voice begins to lash out at family and friends, threatening your marriage and your relationships.

The pain killer now takes on multiple forms including alcohol and illegal drugs and even prescription drugs from your new therapist for depression or treatment for the other symptoms…while the cause is just pushed further into the recesses of your being.

The above symptoms and causes are a growing trend in our society.  Given that you spend the bulk of your waking time at work and the fact that your job has everything to do with your finances gives it and your calling global influence, both positive and negative, over your life, health, relationships and wealth.

So listen to the gentle reminders, and act upon them…don’t wait and give them an opportunity to develop into a not so nice reminder that can cripple not only your career but your life as well.
